New JET cabinet Saw with 80″ Cast Iron Top JTAS-12-DX

Woodworkers and millshops wanting to upgrade their table saw couldn’t have JET 12 Inch XACTA Cabinet Table Saw picked a better time because the folks at JET have just released a new cabinet saw featuring a 80 in.  cast iron table with a beveled front edge.

The JET 12 Inch XACTA Cabinet Table Saw powder coated steel cabinet has a 31-1/2 x 80 in. foot print, weighs almost 630 lbs. and promises to be the center of attention of your shop!

Power

Powered by a 5 hp, single-phase, 15.2-amp, 230-volt motor. At 4300 rpm, its transfer of power is constant with a poly V-belt design that reduces slippage, while minimizing vibration.

An on/off button switch is within reach and provides overload protection while two, oversized hand wheels raise/lower and bevel the heavy-duty trunnion.  A hinged motor cover access door opens to the motor and belts.

Ease of Use

The JET 12 Inch XACTA Cabinet Table Saw  has an integrated arbor lock, which allows a fast and easy blade changes.

A riving knife design is integrated and helps reduce the chance of a  kickback and a see-through blade guard provides a clear view of the work material.   All of which is removable in seconds if needed.

A super nice feature is the 40 ½ in. XACTA commercial-grade fence that glides along the rails until locked in place. Its magnifying rail guide allows the user to pinpoint and clearly identify the desired stop. The left-tilt saw easily supports sheet goods and other dimensional lumber with its 50 in. maximum rip capacity to the right of the blade and 14 in. to the left.

The JET 12 Inch XACTA Cabinet Table Saw can handle an 8-in. dados with a 13/16 in. width and a dado insert is included.  External storage for the fence and miter gauge is convienienty located and with in reach.

Dust Collection:

The  JET 12 Inch XACTA cabinet table saw has a dust collection shroud surrounding the blade and connects to an integrated hose for dust collection.
