Johnson 40-6001 Laser Distance Measuring

A simple, effective and money saving Tool!

The folks at Johnson Level & Tool recently sent me their 40-6001 Laser Distance Measure Tool to evaluate.

First Impression:

The 40-6001 laser tool was designed for me ~ It’s idiot proof!
Simply turn it on, press measure button and record the measurement. I recently used this tool to measure 5 commercial offices for a client of mine.  It worked great, was super efficient and eliminated the need to have another person hold the “dummy end” of the tape measure.
The 40-6001 laser measuring tool works both indoors and outdoors, can
measure vertically or horizontally and at 2.4 ounces it fits easily in tool belt or pocket.
It boasts a measuring range of 165 feet within 1/16″ of accuracy

Johnson Level and Tool 40-6001 Functions:

3 Measures: Calculated measuring: Addition/Subtraction, Area, Volume, 3 Pythagoras functions, Operating Temp ( deg F): +32 – +104 F degrees

40-6001 Technical Details:

Overall Impression:

If you find yourself having to take a lot of measurements then this little baby is for you.  I see decorators, carpet installers, remodelers or anyone needing square feet or numerous measuring using this tool.
