Diablo just announced their launch of a new innovative cutting edge for their Diablo Steel Demon Reciprocating Blades. I got a chance to test these blades first hand and was impressed with the speed and ease of cutting, see video.

A Recipe for Metal Cutting
The recipe for this new and advanced cutting technology is based on advanced grinding tolerances to the saw blade tips and an Ultra-Hardened edge which is created through a unique heat treatment process that optimizes the bi-metal teeth durability.
A special non-stick coating called, Perma-SHIELD®, helps prevent the blade from overheating, gumming, and corrosion and a dual tooth design and double tooth configuration with small gullets provides for faster material removal and extra durability. The small teeth at the beginning of these blades create a pilot and pulls the material through to reduce the vibration and increase the speed of cutting and life of the blade.
Lastly Diablo uses an ultra-hardened cutting edge Increased hardness of the cutting edge to a Rockwell Hardness for extreme durability and longer cutting life all features that most people don’t think about but certainly will appreciate when they use these blades.
Application:
The Diablo Steel Demon Reciprocating Blades are specifically designed for cutting bi-metal and metal in construction and demolition applications. Diablo told us that these blades have a lifespan that is four times longer than standard blades.
