How may times have your tried to cut along a 2×4 stud and sheathing only to brake the reciprocating blade or wack your knuckles?

What other restricted spots have you struggled with a standard 6 or 12 inch reciprocating blade ?   There are too many to count.

Bosch must have heard me yelling the other day because they recently introduced a line of smaller reciprocating blades to accommodate the reduced footprint of compact reciprocating saws.

Bosch Pocket Reciprocating Saw Blades

The tale of the tape says that these blades are four inches and can fit almost anywhere when combined with a compact, hand-held reciprocating saw. These new blades also feature an industry-standard shank that fits virtually all reciprocating saws on the market.

These newer blades follow the Bosch color-coding system, which is blue for metal and white for wood and offer the same cutting qualities as Bosch’s tranditional reciprocating blades and are available in the following:

  • Metal cutting  with 2×2 Tooth Geometry™
  • All purpose for wood with nails  [thinner kerf]
  • All purpose for wood [thinner kerf]
  • Plastic
  • Light metal
  • Sandwich materials.
