DEWALT Rolling Miter Saw And Planer Stand DWX726

DEWALT Rolling Miter Saw/Planer Stand, model DWX726

This miter saw stand is designed to fold up and roll around similar to a two wheeler dolly.

The DEWALT Rolling Miter Saw And Planer Stand DWX726 has a three-position pneumatically assisted raising and lowering position and is easy to set up.

The stand weighs 67 pounds and is constructed out of tubular steel this stand is rated for 300 pounds maximum weight capacity. The mounting rails are easily adjustable, and they can adapt to nearly any miter saw or portable thickness planer on the market.

In-feed and out feed roller work supports are adjustable and  provide up to eight feet of material support.

Stand dimensions:  32.5 x 98-inches unfolded.  17 ” x 59.5 folded vertically.

DEWALT sent me a sample which I was able to put together in 15 minutes and mount my compound miter saw to in less than 5 minutes.  The stand comes with the bolts needed to attach a tool to the stand.  Four internal bolts are attached to this stand and slide in a groove to allow different attachment locations.

What I liked about this stand:

I was amazed at how smooth and easy this stand raises and lovers.  A thumb lever releases a locking pin and a pneumatic piston assists the lifting and lowering process.

It is recommended that the stand be stored in a horizontal position but it also sits fine in the vertical position.  I plan on storing this stand, with the saw attached in its vertical position in my tool trailer.  I will of course secure the stand to the trailer wall with straps.

The wheels are not pneumatic which eliminates the surprise and disappointment of a flat tire!    All of the components appear well made and durable.  I like this stand enough to rework my trailer to make room for it.

Overall I think this saw is well  built solution to moving, storing and using my miter saw.

As a  carpenter and General Contractor having a durable, easily operated stand like this one means time saved during job site setup and cleanup.

What I Did Not Like:

I, like most people,  intend to use the stand for a miter saw.  I do not like the out-feed rollers.

I would prefer if DEWALT offered an out-feed with a stop option.  Many times I use my out-feed stops to assist in making repetitive cuts like balusters or beadboard.  I’d like to see DEWALT offer the option for a support arm with an integrated stop.

WATCH MY VIDEO REVIEW:

[Note – I initially installed this saw backwards on the rolling stand and have since turned it around. ]

The Rolling Miter Saw/Planer Stand sells for approximately $199 and is available now at The Home Depot.
