Bosch Debuts Two, New Jig Saws
Bosch Jig Saws Now Have Precision Control II Technology
Bosch Debuts Two, New jig saws the JS572E Top-Handle Jig Saw and JS572EB Barrel-Grip Jig Saw.
I had the opportunity to use these saws at bosch’s recent media event. The accuracy, power [7.2 amp], comfort of these jig-saws was impressive. As a finish carpenter I use a jigsaw alot and was impressed with the lack of blade wander on these two saws.
The reason for the reduced blade wandering is due to Bosch using a double-roller blade guides. The upper roller minimizes deflection both above and below the lower roller, and its auto-centering function self-adjusts to help keep the blades firmly within the rollers, even during strenuous cuts.

Bosch Jig Saw Features:
Additionally a switchable LEDs and dust blower, are nice features that most saws do not offer. Bosch included their excellent tool-less blade change system allows for faster insertion and blade ejection. A tool-less die-cast magnesium footplate is a must and eliminates having to locate that pesky Allen wrench.
My preference tends to lean toward the top handle saws. I was impressed that the JS572E includes a two-finger trigger switch and an ambidextrous lock-on button for lefties!
Both the JS572EL and JS572EBL jig saws retail for about $299 and are sold with L-Boxx cases. Stay tuned for a hands on tool review.
