Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio Review

During the recent 2013 World of Concrete Convention in Las Vegas, Bosch introduced a new product to their lineup. That little Bosch gem is the Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio , a compact and totally portable job site radio.

Specifications:

Let’s talk specifications for a minute:

The Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio is compact, almost four pounds and measures 12 x 3 x 7.5 inches and has the following features:

  • Compact size fits into L-BOXX system
  • High strength shock-absorbing housing and handles.
  • 12  volt battery operated (not included),
  • DC adapter to plug in if needed, but not charge the battery,
  • AUX IN plug to connect media devices,
  • Digital display,
  • High performance Neodymium speakers allowing maximum sound clarity and quality.

Durability:

To elaborate a bit on the PB120; although it’s compact, it would be a mistake to consider the PB120 fragile.   On the contrary, it is a durable,  jobsite ready, visual and acoustic pleasing product.

The  Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio is a user friendly tool with with a large digital display that shows the time, battery life indicator, and source indicator, as well as the radio station you choose to listen to.   Alongside that, is an easy to operate Equalizer control, a mute button and five programmable presets.

We found the mute button easy to find and handy on the job-site when the homeowner stopped by for a chat or a cellphone call needed to be answered.   Fast and easy!

If you turn to the radio over you’ll find yourself looking into a seal-able compartment that holds the DC and AUX in adapters and power cord.   We absolutely loved that this radio has on board cord storage.   The cord is a bit chintzy but at least we can protect it during storage.

Although there is no storage compartment for media devices, overall you will find yourself with premium sound coming from the PB120 12v Compact Radio.

With many trade professionals, our tools take up a large majority of space, so acquiring a device that has a high strength, shock absorbing housing and is compact, is a win!

How Much and Where To Buy?

The Bosch 12 Volt PB120 Radio sells for $111.00 online here:    Bosch-PB120-12-Volt-Compact-Radio
