  1. Well done folks congrats to Dan – he won this weeks submission

Great contest and really shows off some of the great work that craftsman are capable of doing as well as showing off that work that you hope you never find around your own home. Unfortunately I submitted an entry about the latter…a contractor that we hired to remodel our kitchen, turned the project into a nightmare. Although there were many things I had to choose from, my entry showed off the lousy install of the dishwasher. The plumber ran the water pipes too far off of the back wall, so when they tried to shove the dishwasher in, it stuck out 4″-5″ past the cabinets! So what was their solution? I’m sure you are thinking they must have taken a few minutes and a couple of 90 degree elbows and re-routed the pipes…..nope! They decided to take a piece of crown molding and attempt to “trim it out”. It didn’t work. Not only does it look awful, they didn’t secure it so if falls forward every time you open the door! These guys definitely fall under the category of “Not So Pro”.

My title is “Everyone tilt to the right to watch the television”
If allowed, I could submit at least a dozen entries PER room that we had to renovate, LOL

  4. Paul Harper says:

My entry is titled “Who needs a header?”. I should have started a blog about the misadventures of renovating my house.

  5. Brian Miller says:

Wiring Fiasco is the title of my “not so pro” entry
