DEWALT Cordless 20V Lighting Solutions

The folks at DEWALT have two brand new durable, portable and cool running job-site lighting solutions coming out soon.

DEWALT is also offering our newsletter subscribers the opportunity to be some of the first folks to get one of each.

The two new lights being released from DEWALT are:

1. DEWLAT DCL050 Cordless 20V LED Hand-Held Area Light
2. DEWALT LED Area Lights with 18V / 20V Multi-Port Battery Interface

The DCL050, hand-held light, looks a lot like a stick light but with 140-degree pivoting head. Featuring a rubber over-mold for a sure grip this light can be placed on flat surfaces and the pivot allows lighting above or below the tool.

The DCL050 has 2 LED bulbs with two brightness settings of 500 and 250 lumen. The lower setting obviously extends run-time. When combined with a 4.0 Ah 20 volt battery (sold separately) this light can run up to 17 hours.

The LEDs are enclosed in an over-molded, non-marking lens cover that provides protection and durability when using the work light in tough job-site conditions.

A built-in 360-degree rotating hook gives hanging flexibility and additional lighting solutions in areas where hanging makes more sense.

The DCL050 will retail for approximately $69.00 and will be available in June 2014. If you’re already running the DEWALT 20 volt platform you need one of these professional grade, cordless, lighting solutions in your cordless tool box.

The area light has an 18V and 20V multi-port battery interface and comes in two versions:

1. DCL060 (DC only)
2. DCL061 (AC / DC – power cord not included)

DEWALT claims that the light output on these two units is comparable to halogens, but without the heat output.

The DCL060 and DCL061 put out 1500 lumen and provide 6100K color temperature, which is for distinguishing different colors, such as wiring, on the job-site.

The DCL061 can run on AC or DC power and both units include the multi-port interface, which allows 18V Lithium Ion and Ni-Cad batteries or any of the 20V batteries to power the light. At ACC we like having the AC option and think DEWALT should sell the light with the cord!

These new area lights can run up to 2.5 hours when powered with a 4.0 Ah battery (sold separately)

The DCL060 and DCL061 bare units will retail for $99.00 and $119.00, respectively, and will be available in July 2014.
