Milwaukee® Thunderbolt® Titanium Coated Drill Bits

14 PC Milwaukee® Thunderbolt® Titanium Coated Drill Bits 48-89-0011Milwaukee Thunderbolt drill bits

I break drill bits all the time.  A simple IPE deck install sometimes requires a dozen drill bits.  Up until now I just wrote off the drill breakage to part of doing business.  That is until I came across the Milwaukee Thunderbolt drill bits.

When I first handled these bits the spiral flutes seemed sharper than my standard drill bits.  I used the Thunderbolt bits to drill through aluminum, metal gas pipe and staging pie as well as into wood.  The bits cut cleanly, smoothly and easily.  Guess what ~ none of them broke!

Tapered Web drill bits are designed for the job-site and extreme working conditions.  The Thunderbolt web features a thicker core than a standard drill bit, which provides strength and resists breakage, a common and irritating issue with standard drill bits.

Features and Benefits:

  • A parabolic flute form clears chips and debris fast to keep the bit cool.
  • Titanium Coating keeps the bits sharp
  • A precision start, 135 Split Point tip starts on contact to keep the bit from walking for fast accurate holes.
  • A 3-Flat “Secure-Grip” shank is designed in a way that the drill chuck grabs the bit and eliminates slippage.
  • The larger bits have a reduced shank diameter for use in 3/8-Inch chucks.
  • Sizes: 1/16″ thur 1/2″ by 64ths

The Thunderbolt drill bits are excellent for drilling on curved surfaces.  They require less effort to drill and are recommended for use with portable drills.

The Milwaukee Thunderbolt® drill bits were designed for extreme job site durability and long bit life. The Thunderbolt® web features a thicker core than a standard drill bit, which provides greater strength and protects against side-load breakage.

A specially designed parabolic flute form clears chips and debris fast to keep the bit cool. The 3-Flat Secure-Grip shank won’t slip in the drill chuck. Reduced shank diameter for use in 3/8″ chucks.
