Hands Free Leveling

Wood Clamping With One Handed Bar Clamps:

Many, many times when working in the shop I end up wishing I had an extra hand to hold something.  When working alone in your shop its important to find the right tools or jigs that make your work process flow easier, faster and stress free.  Below is a hands free leveling tip:

Hands Free Leveling Tip

One of those tools is pistol grip clamps.  DIYers and pros alike love pistol grip clamps because they can be installed and removed with one hand.

The beauty behind these clamps is that they allow you to close and apply clamping pressure with one hand.  Simply squeeze the handle grip and the clamp jaws close.

When buying clamps make sure that they have soft grip clamping pads that will not mar your project.  Without these soft rubber pads you’ll be forced to use clamp blocks which require another hand!

Clamps used in this post were Bora pistol grip clamps.  they can be purchased online for $ 31.50 a pair [2] here:  Bora-540612-Pistol-Clamp-12-Inch
