Hilti SCT 60-22 Nuron Cordless Table Saw Review

Hilti built its reputation on concrete, fastening, and demolition tools, but with the expansion of the Nuron battery platform, the company has been steadily moving into woodworking and carpentry applications. The Hilti SCT 60-22 Cordless Table Saw is part of that push, offering a full-size cordless table saw designed for pros that want to power of corded in a cordless saw.

After spending time with the saw on the jobsite, one thing became clear: Hilti wasn’t interested in building a compact cordless table saw with compromises. The SCT 60-22 is a full-size 10-inch saw that delivers the cutting capacity and power many contractors expect from a corded machine.

Full-Size Cutting Capacity

Unlike many cordless table saws that use smaller 8-1/4-inch blades to maximize battery runtime, Hilti went with a full 10-inch blade. That decision pays off in cutting capacity.

The saw delivers a maximum cutting depth of 3-9/16 inches at 90 degrees, allowing it to cut through a 4×4 in a single pass. At 45 degrees, cutting depth drops to 2-3/8 inches, which is still more than adequate for most framing and trim applications.

To adjust the saws bevel you simply release a bevel locking lever and rotate a knob. The knob action on the bevel is super smooth and allows easy micro dialing in on your bevel.

Hilti SCT 60-22 Nuron Cordless Table SawThe blade bevels to 47° left and 2° right, giving users a little extra range beyond a standard 45° bevel for fitting and finish work.

Rip capacity is equally impressive. With 26-1/4 inches of rip capacity to the right of the blade, the saw can handle full-width plywood rips without requiring additional setup or support. The rip fence features a flip-over support for ripping wider boards and sheet goods, providing additional workpiece support and stability during cuts.

Note: Hilti positioned the fence-lock lever farther to the left than on the DeWalt and Milwaukee saws. As a long-time user of those two saws, I still find myself instinctively reaching to the wrong spot for the lever. This is something existing DeWalt and Milwaukee users will likely notice.

Power and Performance

During testing, the saw showed little tendency to bog down while ripping pressure-treated lumber, kiln-dried framing stock, and laminated veneer lumber (LVL). Even under heavier loads, blade speed remained consistent and cuts stayed smooth.

The SCT 60-22 runs on Hilti’s Nuron 22V battery platform and performs best when paired with Hilti’s larger-capacity batteries, such as the B 290-22.

Hilti SCT 60-22 Nuron Cordless Table Saw

Like most high-demand cordless tools, battery choice matters. Smaller Nuron packs will run the saw, but runtime drops noticeably during continuous ripping. Contractors planning to use this saw regularly should budget for the larger batteries.

Jobsite-Friendly Design

Hilti did a good job with overall tool organization. The fence, miter gauge, push stick, riving knife, and anti-kickback pawls all store securely on the saw. Everything has a designated location, which helps prevent accessories from disappearing during transport between jobs.

Anyone who has spent time working out of a trailer or job box knows how quickly loose accessories disappear, so having a dedicated storage location helps keep everything together and ready to use.

Despite being a full-size 10-inch table saw, the SCT 60-22 weighs under 55 pounds as a bare tool. That’s manageable for loading in and out of a truck, but the saw really shines when paired with Hilti’s folding wheeled stand.

SCT 60-22 Rolling Stand

The optional wheeled stand is one of the better-designed cordless table saw stands we’ve used.

Instead of bolting the saw to the stand, Hilti uses a slide-and-lock mounting system. The saw attaches securely with a single latch, allowing it to be installed or removed in seconds without tools.

The folding mechanism is equally impressive. The stand opens and collapses smoothly, making setup and breakdown quick for a single operator. With the saw attached, the folded unit rolls easily across rough job sites and through doorways.

The stand feels exceptionally solid, even when ripping long material. There was no noticeable wobble, movement, or shifting during operation. More importantly, I detected virtually no table vibration under load. The saw felt planted and controlled throughout testing, contributing to accurate cuts and an overall premium feel.

A unique feature is Hilti’s use of eccentric rubber bumpers at the mounting points. These bumpers serve several functions:

  • Help absorb vibration during operation
  • Create a secure friction fit between the saw and stand
  • Allow minor adjustments to fine-tune alignment and leveling

It’s a thoughtful detail that contributes to the overall solid feel of the system.

Accuracy and Setup

Out of the box, the saw arrived calibrated. Table flatness, fence alignment, and blade-to-fence parallelism were all very good.

We typically spend time checking and adjusting fences before putting a table saw into service, but the Hilti required very little attention before making accurate cuts.

Hilti also introduced an innovative miter slot attachment system that differs from many competing jobsite saws and contributes to the saw’s overall ease of use.

Hilti SCT 60-MG Miter Gauge Attachment

Miter gauges are often one of the weakest parts of a portable table saw, but Hilti’s approach here is practical and well-suited to the saw’s intended purpose. The SCT 60-22 includes the SCT 60-MG miter gauge, giving users the ability to make crosscuts, angle cuts, and repeat cuts without needing to set up a separate saw.

The Hilti saw comes with a beefed-up miter gauge with a longer fence that gives you much better support for crosscuts and angled cuts.

The miter gauge also works well for repeat cuts when paired with a stop block, making it useful for cutting multiple pieces to the same length. While finish carpenters and cabinetmakers may still prefer a dedicated miter saw or shop-built sled for highly precise work, I found the included gauge more than capable for typical jobsite applications.

Overall, the SCT 60-MG complements the cordless table saw nicely. It adds versatility without adding complexity and feels appropriately matched to the saw’s contractor-focused design. Rather than trying to be a precision woodworking accessory, it delivers the functionality most tradespeople need when working in the field.

Daddo Compatible

The Hilti SCT-60-MG can run a dado blade with 10″ diameter or less, and the same arbor size as the Hilti saw |saw blades. I’m not aware of Hilti offering a dado zero clearance plate so you’ll need to make one or cut thru one of their standard ones.

Dust Collection

Dust collection is acceptable but not exceptional.

The saw includes a cloth collection bag, which captures some debris during cutting. However, like most open-frame jobsite table saws, significant dust still escapes the machine during operation.

We tested the saw using the included dust collection bag, with no dust collection at all, and connected to a shop vacuum. The shop vacuum setup was by far the most effective, capturing most of the dust generated during cutting. Contractors working indoors or in finished spaces will want to connect a dust extractor or shop vacuum whenever possible.

One thing we discovered during testing was that our Ridgid shop vacuum hose did not fit the saw’s dust port. We temporarily connected the two using window flashing tape, which worked fine for our testing. Before purchasing, make sure your vacuum hose is compatible with the saw’s dust port, or plan on using an adapter to ensure a proper connection.

Blade Brake Performance

The SCT 60-22 features an electronic blade brake, and it’s one of the fastest-stopping cordless table saws I’ve used. During testing, the blade consistently came to a stop in approximately one to two seconds after releasing the trigger. Fast blade braking not only improves safety but also reduces downtime between cuts.

Fence Design

Fence quality is often one of the first things contractors compare when shopping for a table saw, and Hilti did a nice job here. The saw uses a rack-and-pinion fence system like DeWalt’s design, allowing smooth and precise adjustments across the full rip capacity. The fence locks securely and remained parallel to the blade throughout testing. Even when locked the fence remained ridged and did not have slop or flex.

Unlike some jobsite saws, there was no need to measure the front and rear of the fence after adjustments. Once locked, the fence stayed square and showed no noticeable deflection, even when applying side pressure while ripping framing lumber and sheet goods.

One feature I appreciated was the flip-over fence support, which provides additional material support when ripping wider boards and sheet goods.

Battery Consumption

Battery runtime was one of my biggest questions going into this review, and the SCT 60-22 exceeded expectations. Using Hilti’s high-capacity B 290-22 batteries, I never felt limited by runtime during normal jobsite use.

Even while ripping pressure-treated 2x material, sheet goods, and hardwood stock, a single battery delivered impressive run time. For most contractors, one battery will easily handle a full day of typical cutting tasks. With two B 290-22 batteries on hand, runtime essentially becomes a non-issue.

Noise and Vibration

Hilti incorporates eccentric bumpers into the folding stand design to improve stability and help manage vibration. Whether they deserve all the credit or not, the overall system works extremely well.

Table Surface and Capacity

The SCT 60-22 has a larger tabletop and work support system than many competing saws. The layout provides decent support for dimensional lumber and sheet goods, and the integrated table extension helps stabilize larger workpieces during ripping operations.

I found the table remained stable throughout testing, with no noticeable sway or movement when supporting heavier material. Combined with the excellent fence system, the overall platform inspires confidence when making long rip cuts.

Is This Saw Replacing a Corded Jobsite Saw?

This is probably the most important question contractors will ask. After spending considerable time with the SCT 60-22, my answer is yes. For jobsite use, this saw eliminates the need for a corded table saw. Performance, power, and runtime were never concerns during testing we used it to rip 2×6 down to make custom sized wall studs in an old farm house remodel – the saw never faltered.

Would I bring it to a framing site instead of a corded saw? Absolutely. Would I use it as my primary table saw in a dedicated woodworking shop every day? Probably not. A larger stationary cabinet saw still offers advantages in table size, mass, and overall capacity for production shop work.

But for remodeling, finish carpentry, punch-list work, deck building, framing, and general jobsite use, the SCT 60-22 is more than capable of replacing a corded saw. With two B 290-22 batteries available, runtime never became a limitation, and the freedom from extension cords is something you appreciate immediately once you start using it.

using Nuron batteries, the SCT 60-22 is a capable cordless jobsite saw that prioritizes power, mobility, and durability over refinement.

The SCT 60-22 makes the most sense for commercial contractors, concrete form crews, and remodelers already invested in Nuron batteries. For users starting from scratch, its performance is excellent, but the battery ecosystem and overall cost become a significant part of the buying decision.

Price and Value

The Hilti table saw starts around $999 for the bare tool. A working kit with charger and high-capacity Nuron batteries typically lands between $1,600 and $2,000 depending on battery configuration.

That puts the Hilti at the upper end of the cordless table saw market.

Comparable offerings from Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Metabo generally come in at a lower initial investment.

For contractors already invested in the Nuron platform, the pricing may be easier to justify.

For users starting from scratch, the cost of entry is a significant investment.

Final Thoughts

The Hilti SCT 60-22 is a powerful, well-built cordless table saw aimed squarely at professional users.

It delivers true 10-inch cutting capacity, impressive performance under load, excellent portability, and one of the best stand systems currently available.

Where it falls short is value. The saw commands a premium price.

For framing crews, remodelers, and commercial contractors already using Nuron batteries, the SCT 60-22 is a capable cordless jobsite saw that prioritizes power, mobility, and durability.
