BOSCH Cross-Line Laser GLL2-10
BOSCH Self-Leveling Cross-Line Laser GLL2-10
Self-leveling laser tools are ideal for many installations. You can use a laser level to install tile, wainscoting molding, chair rails, hang pictures, wallpaper, or install shelving. In fact, the more I think about it the more uses I can come up with.
Self-leveling Laser Levels ensure that your layout lines and installations are level and or plumb and are great addition to your standard bubble levels.
Recently the folks at Bosch sent me their GLL2-10 self-leveling cross-line laser to check out.
First Impression:
The Bosch GLL2-10 self-leveling laser has a “Smart Pendulum Leveling System,” which means it self-levels, senses and indicates when an out-of level condition exists and turns off the laser line, allowing you to correct this condition by adjusting the laser on its stand. This automatic “Out-of-Level Sensing” shows a green LED for “level” and red LED for “out-of-level.”
I found Bosch GLL2-10 Self-leveling laser level easy to use. The only control is an on / off switch.
There are no fancy bells and whistles, just a level and plumb line that is bright enough to see indoors and in most outdoor daylight conditions.
From 8 feet away the layout was perfectly level and plumb.
Below is the Bosch GLL2-10 and carry case.

Overall Impression:
I recommend getting and using a trip-pod with the GLLS2-10. It works best with a tri-pod but can also me positioned on top of a flat surface. A basic camera tri-pod with 1/4-20 threading [standard threading in most tri-pods] works and costs less than $ 25.00.
The Bosch GLL2-10 self-leveling laser level is ideal for all of the trades as well as home owners. From setting tile to installing a deck ledger to hanging cabinets, wall moldings, shelving or hanging pictures this level really “levels the playing field.”
The Bosch GLL2-10 sells for approximately $ 107.00
