SCHLAGE ACQUISITION OF FUSION™ HARDWARE
SCHLAGE EXPANDS PRODUCT OFFERING FOR BUILDER CHANNEL
ORLANDO, Fla., (January 12, 2011) – Schlage Lock Company LLC, a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, which is a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, announced today it is launching new products at the International Builders Show specifically for the builder channel – under both the Schlage brand and under Fusion™, its recent decorative hardware acquisition.
New Fusion products include The Elite Collection, a decorative solid brass offering with enhanced features, along with stainless steel products, interconnected handlesets, and products that incorporate Schlage SecureKey™ technology. It also is announcing the expansion of its Builders Hardware offering and showcasing its existing product lineup, including decorative handlesets, entry plates, deadbolts, knobs, levers and other accessories.
“We’re excited to add the Fusion brand as part of the Ingersoll Rand family,” said Randy Marquardt, Schlage vice president of sales for retail/builder. “Its offering broadens and complements our own and provides us immediate access to new markets, distribution channels and products that will truly benefit our customers.”
Marquardt added that the decision to sell Fusion products separate from Schlage products fortifies its ability to be nimble, introduce products quickly, stay in touch with decorative trends and deliver to its customers the products and services they have come to expect from Schlage.
