The DEWALT Titanium IMPACT READY Step Drill Bit is a drill bit that has the tip ground down to a different diameter than its base.  The transition between the two forms an angled, countersink like bit.  Step bits are extremely versitile drill bits and allow the user to custom size a hole in metal with one drill bit.

The DEWALT Titanium IMPACT READY Step Drill Bit is relatively new and available this July.  It’s design eliminates the need for contractors to use a 1/2-inch drill bit or adaptor when using a cordless impact driver.

These new bits are ideal producing a high-quality, no-burr 1/8-inch to 1-1/8-inch rounded holes in metal.   Drilling applications into materials such as duct, junction boxes, shackles and struts often require a step drill to make appropriate holes for services.

Theses step bits have a titanium coating split point tip and a 1/4-inch hex shank.   A two-flute design allows for material removal the bit has laser engraved measurements for easy idexing when drilling.DEWALT Titanium impact ready step drill bit
