Bosch Multi-X MX25E Oscillating Multi-Tool Bosch MX25E Oscillating Multi-ToolReview

Bosch Power Tools and Accessories released the next generation of professional OIS (Oscillating Tool Interface) oscillating tools with its MX25E Oscillating Multi-Tool, designed to ease flush-cutting, plunge cutting, sanding, grinding, grout removal, scraping and many more time-consuming and tiring applications. Ideal for renovation, construction, woodworking, and home repair tasks, its compact size makes it small enough for working in corners and other tight spaces.

The MX25E is rated at 2.5 amps and provides ample power for heavy-duty uses and working with tough materials. A variable-speed dial allows the speed to be matched to the application and material. Patented Constant Electronics™ Circuitry technology ensures it maintains speed under load. A ball-joint cord swivel helps better position the tool and provides extra protection to the cord for increased durability over the life of the product.

The MX25E uses OIS system accessories. Bosch developed OIS, which is a 12-point accessory contact system created to provide a secure accessory connection and to maximize oscillating-action work efficiency. A durable accessory holder makes it easy to change and position the accessories using a hex wrench.

The MX25E also includes an OSCAD1 Adapter for use with many competitor accessories. As with all Bosch power tools, product engineers gave special focus to optimizing the comfort of the MX25E, as well as its functionality. Users will notice its light weight of 3.3 pounds, small grip circumference and soft-grip areas that help to prevent discomfort and lead to overall better job performance.

The Bosch MX25E will be widely available at leading tool dealers and home centers in March 2011 in two different kits, the MX25EC-21 and the MX25EK-33. The MX25EC-21 includes 4 high-quality cutting, grinding and scraping accessories, 16 sanding accessories, an accessory box and carrying bag. The MX25EK-33 includes 6 high-quality cutting, grinding and scraping accessories, 26 sanding accessories, an accessory box and carrying case.
