Black & Decker BDCS40G Motion Activated Screwdriver

The Black & Decker Gyro Cordless Screwdriver is an interesting gadget and one that my painter contractor friends would enjoy when attaching or removing electrical plates.  This is a Do-It-Yourself-er tool.

The Black & Decker Gyro Cordless Screwdriver uses gyroscope technology is powered by a 4 volt lithium ion battery.  Its is small small, lightweight and easy to use.

When I first grabbed the gyro I was amazed at how it operated.  Gripping the tool activates an LED light and a slight twist to the right  turn the drier bit forward.  A slight twit of the hand to the left and the bot automatically turns left to revers a fastener,

Black & Decker Gyro Cordless Screwdriver Features:

  • Uses gyroscopic technology
  • Automatic forward/reversing, with variable speeds
  • Lightweight and easy to use
  • Lithium battery holds 18 month charge
  • no memory effect with the battery
  • Two year limited warranty

According to the manufacturer the Gyro has a 4V MAX lithium-ion rechargeable battery capable of holding a charge for up to 18-months. The charging slot is conveniently placed on the bottom of the handle and out of the way if the user needs to charge the tool and use it at the same time.

The Gyro has the ability to operate at 180 revolutions per minute and apply 35 inches per pound in torque while screw driving.  That is not alot  of torque when talking fastening power.

I liked that the Gyros design is small enough to fit into tight spaces, where other larger screwdrivers may not fit.  It also fits in your pocket!
