Milwaukee 12 Volt Thermal Imager

By Robert Robillard on Tools PLUS!

Milwaukee Tool Corporation  recently released a M12  lithium-ion powered, 160×120 Thermal Imager.   Thermal imagers are used in the HVAC, insulation and maintenance trades and are great for troubleshooting, problem solving and evaluating.

The Milwaukee imager features 160×120 pixel, high resolution thermal images, a visual camera for standard pictures, and a temperature range of -10° to 350°C/ 14° to 662°F.  I tested this unit out when I was at Milwaukee’s media event and it is super easy to use.

Thermal & visual images can be captured with every trigger pull and toggle between the two with the simple push of a button. With an easy, 5-button interface and a no blur, no wait display that updates the screen image 60 times a second, and sells for a suggested retail of $ 2500.00.

The Milwaukee Thermal Imager comes with a report software that makes analyzing images and generates reports.   JPEG file format images can be dowloaded from an included  2GB SD card or USB connection port.
