What lessons do you hope to instill in your kids?

As a parent I’ve often thought to myself, “am I forgetting something,” when it comes to what I hope my kids will learn from me.

Obviously this could and should be a long list. Here’s a few, in no specific order, that ring loudly with me.

What else would YOU add?

Lessons:

Tell the people you love that you love them Life is short and you may not get the chance “next time”.

Be kind to others.

Treat people how you want to be treated.

Have fun.

Confidence,

manners,

Problem solving skills

Humility

Life is hard. Life without God is even harder

Be careful how you act out in the street – never know whose watching

Money is not the measure of success.

Respect

Morality

Integrity

Appreciation,

Understanding

The Ten Commandments

Responsibility

Good Humor

To say please and thank you

Be good to people. [All people]

Learn balance

Compassion

Honesty

Take a chance

Treat others the way you want to be treated.

See the shades of gray . . .because few things in life are black and white.
