VIKA Twofold Workbench

VIKA Twofold™ 2 in 1 Workbench / Scaffold

Anyone who has used a scaffold knows they are superior for work productivity and comfort when compared to using a step ladder.

The folks at VIKA Twofold™ recently send me their TwoFold 2-in-1 Workbench and Scaffold to evaluate.

The VIKA Twofold Workbench is a portable, collapsible scaffold and work bench that can be used for everything from painting and decorating, to light construction and remodeling, to small home repairs.

The VIKA Twofold Workbench also has a 500lb capacity rating and a built in powersrip to plug power your tools.

In Workbench Mode, you have a rigid portable workbench that goes to where your work is and gives you a flat solid work setup.

As a cutting workbench the VIKA Twofold Workbench provides a strong, rigid workbench at the perfect height. This workbench is perfect for on-site cutting with miter saws, circular saws, or tile saws and features:

* Direct-connect of extension cord gives you power for 3 tools.
* V-groove for cutting pipe and other round stock.
* Dual rulers and protractor for fast measuring and layout work.

In Scaffold Mode, you have a solid elevated platform that gives you the ability safely work approximately 24″ off the ground and 46″ long with plenty room to move around.

When using the VIKA Twofold Workbench as a painting scaffold your at the perfect height to paint the top of door trim, crown moldings, and ceilings.

FIRST IMPRESSION:

I found the VIKA Twofold Workbench easy to set up and take down. Its aluminum frame felt strong, sturdy and was easy to adjust. I felt extremely safe and secure standing on the scaffold.

One nice feature on the VIKA Twofold Workbench is the built in power-strip. The power-strip allows you to power or charge up to three tools.

The best feature with the VIKA TwoFold is it’s portability. The unit unfolded, folded and converted between the work bench and scaffold quickly and easily.
There are two locking paddles at each side of the TwoFold that securely lock and unlock the legs into the desired positions. When in it’s storage mode, the TwoFold folds up to 4″ thick.

I especially liked the carry handle. Which allows you to carry the VIKA one handed.

The scaffold was secure and felt super secure and has a step on either side for access.

OVERALL IMPRESSION:

I liked the VIKA TwoFold, it worked exactly as advertised.

I think it’s light weight, folding storage option and portability make it perfect for all types of home Do-it-yourself and craft projects, remodeling and demo projects and all types of painting projects.

The combination of flat, level and rigid table work bench make for easy assembly and vertical and horizontal clamping of projects. The built in parts cup holder will be useful to hold small fasteners on my assembly project.

Improvement:

There were two things that I did not like about the TwoFold:

The TwoFold has four gusset braces that help support and provide strength to the units leg structure. I had some difficulty using the gusset braces with one hand and needed to use two hands. This was not a deal breaker for me but it would be nice if the gusset braces could be operated with one hand.

In my opinion the V-Groove, dual rulers and protractor are nice to look at but a complete waste of time. Most people precisely measure what they are cutting and how often they use the V-groove? My guess is not often enough.

Overall the TwoFold is a sturdy, affordable and viable option for a portable workbench and scaffold system.

The TwoFold is functional and has a place in my workshop, jobsite and house. I recommend it!!

WHERE TO BUY:

The VIKA TwoFold unit costs approximately $149.99.  VIKA Ships the Twofold in 2-3 business days.

Note: VIKA warns users NOT to use the scaffold with the legs fully extended, stating that it is not designed to be used at that height. They also recommend NOT standing on the TwoFold in the workbench mode.
