Senco PC1279 Three Tool Combo Kit

Senco compressor and three nailers:

The folks at Senco recently came out with their PC1279 comb kit which includes an six gallon, oil-less pancake air compressor and three-nailer combo kit and a ¼” x 25′ air hose.  The nailers are:

FinishPro 35 angled finish nailer,

The FinishPro 35 drives 1¼”to 2½” 15 ga. nails, the finish nailer features 104-fastener capacity, tool-free, adjustable depth-of-drive, adjustable exhaust, easy-clear front latch.

FinishPro 18 brad nailer,

The Finish Pro 18 drives 5/8″ to 2″ 18 ga. brad nails, and features a 110-fastener capacity, rear exhaust, rear bumper to protect work finish, comfort grip and no-mar pad.

SLS18 stapler,

The SLS 18 drives ¼” crown18 ga. wire 1½” staples, also features a 110-fastener capacity, hardened steel driver for longer life, easily adjustable depth-of-drive, rear exhaust

The  compressor has a maximum rating of 155 psi capable of generating up to 2.8 scfm at 90 psi, and comes with two couplers and dual gauges which is a nice touch!

When I see combination kits as good as this one my first question is how much?   Currently it’s listed at $  319.00.

First Impression:

Right off the bat I noticed that the Senco PC1279 three tool combo Kit nailers have enclosed fastener magazines which help keep the nails, brads or staples from collecting dirt and debris from the shop or job-site.  The magazine is super easy to open and close and has a nice action.

A “reload” window in the magazine allows you to see when its time to add fasteners.

Overall it was apparent that these nailers were  no nonsense great quality tools.  The depth of drive knob is simple and easy to use, a quintessential rubber grip makes for a steadfast grip!

Using the nailers:

My first finish and framing nailer were Senco brand and there still being used by a friend today.   Senco to me means quality.

My impression of the compressor is that it looks alot like the Porter Cable compressor I have – they all seem the same.  I’m guessing that the manufacturer makes similar compressors and puts different paint and stickers on them.

However, the nailers are different.  I’ve used the finish nailer the most and it works great – I like the light weight the most.  so far so good –  no misfires, mishaps or disappointment in the shop or on the job-site.  If your looking to get into a complete set of finish nailers and compressor that will provide you with  quality fastening solutions as well as increase productivity then I suggest you take a peek at this combo kit.

So I say, way to go Senco!   Hey that rhymes….
