Preparing For Hurricane Henri
Tropical Storm Henri Preparation with Ryobi
With Tropical Storm Henri building towards a Category 1 Hurricane, residents of New England are beginning preparations for very significant rain and wind event on Sunday, August 22. Here at my house, the first thing I did to prepare was pulling out my Ryobi 18V One+ 6 Port Supercharger and all of my Ryobi 18V One+ batteries. The Supercharger allowed me to plug in up to 6 batteries at one time for convenient and fast charging.

Ryobi Lighting
I also grabbed 2 of my new favorite Ryobi tools—the Ryobi 18V One+ LED Light (PCL660B) and the Ryobi 18V One+ 4” Clamp Fan (PCF02B). I previously owned the Ryobi 18V One+ Flashlight (P705) pictured here on the far left. In my opinion, the new Ryobi 18V One+ LED Light (pictured in the middle) is a significant upgrade. The LED Light is much more comfortable to hold in my hand and I can effortlessly control it with its well-placed trigger button. Offering 280 lumens and a 500-foot beam distance, the bright center beam, and the accompanying wide halo have been very helpful for late-night walks. I have especially enjoyed the 130-degree pivoting head because I could place it down on a flat surface and direct the strong spotlight on the area where I was working. The 18V 4Ah battery lasts for hours, too!
Dealing With Heat
With the high humidity, the potential hurricane is bringing this weekend, I also wanted to have my Ryobi 18V One+ 4” Clamp Fan ready to go. The Clamp Fan has been great outdoors this summer when I needed a breeze on the hottest days. The built-in clamp allows me to attach it to my chair arm, or any other material up to 1.5 inches thick. There is a high speed for the hottest days, as well as a quieter low speed that I appreciated when I was having cocktails with friends outside. The multi-directional rotating head was a very clever addition to the fan. Best of all, using my 18V 6Ah battery, I was able to use the Clamp Fan for multiple evenings before needing to charge it again.
Power Loss
Should Tropical Storm Henri cause us to lose our electricity, I will feel much better having the Ryobi 18V One+ LED Light to illuminate my home and the Ryobi 18V One+ 4” Clamp Fan to keep me cool. Rather than be scared, be prepared with Ryobi!
