Working on a job site with several types on contractors has given me the opportunity to see who’s wearing what and why, which lead me to the Klein Powerline Series Tool Belt. . Regardless of the trade, one thing that everyone had in common, was a tool belt for storing the most used hand tools needed.
Lightweight Tool Bag Option
From single pouches, to full on framing belts, the average weight of 7 contractor bags was 16lbs. 16lbs around your waist all day is very demanding on your back and legs. Going from a large leather framer’s belt down to a Klein Powerline Series Tool Belt has cut down my belt weight reducing fatigue greatly.
Klein Powerline Series Tool Belt – Nylon
For several weeks I’ve been reviewing the Klein Powerline Series Nylon Pouches paired up with the Klein Tradesmen Pro Belt. It’s Lightweight, constructed out of tough nylon material and boy is it sharp looking! I changed out the PowerLine Series belt for the Tradesman Pro Belt was solely because of the buckle. The PowerLine Series belt buckle is plastic and clips together. In my experience, these types of buckles fail more frequently, and can potentially come detached when bending over. The Tradesmen Pro Belt buckle also has double prong buckle that can not be inadvertently released.

Klein PowerLine Series – Durability
The Klein PowerLine series is made of washable 1000 denier Cordura® Nylon. Cordura® is a registered trademark of INVISTA for double fabrics. The PowerLine Series is double nylon stitched and has reinforced rivets. While wearing the Powerline Series belt I noticed that the material is tough, and resistant to abrasions, punctures and tearing.
I like that it naturally forms to the body making it easy to wear everyday.
Permanent Residency in my Tool Belt
As a remodeler, my tool needs vary from job to job. I could be framing one day, trimming out windows and doors the next day.
