Insulate Your Attic

Insulating  Your Attic

With today’s energy bills increasing and so many people trying to reduce energy used to heat their homes I thought article on how to insulate your attic was worth sharing.

Energy Star has one of the best detailed how-to guides that I’ve seen on sealing air leaks and adding attic insulation. The guide gives do-it-yourself details and full color photos about important insulation installation and safety tips.

I recently did this exact type of work for two customers and was later told that their homes were noticeable warmer.

Spring is a great time to work in the attic, not too cold and not excruciating hot!

See BROCHURE here on a Do-It-Yourself guide to sealing and insulating.  The guide will show you how to insulate and where insulation is needed the most.

Attic Hatches

Attic hatches are a huge source of air leaks and radiant heat loss.  Heat rises and you can bet your paycheck that your losing a ton of heat through an uninsulated attic hatch.   Many people do not realize just how easy it is to insulate them.
