High Filtration Multi-Layer Vacuum Bags

High Filtration Multi-Layer Vacuum Bags and HEPA filters

Replacing standard vacuum bags with high filtration multi-layer bags, and adding exhaust filters, prevents allergen particles from escaping into the air while vacuuming.  Using one of these bags with an active HEPA filter will ensure that you capture small particles and not release them back into the air through the vacuums exhaust port.

As a Lead certified RRP remodeler dealing with lead dust is common.  In my every day contractor duties it’s a no brain-er to that customers recognize clean and neat work.

Catch Dust At Its Source

To me there is nothing worse than performing drilling, sawing or grinding application inside a occupied home and finding out at the end of the day a fine layer of dust has covered everything in the adjacent rooms, including the baby grand piano!

Using a HEPA vacuum and catching dust at its source either through a tool attachment of by holding the vacuum at the dust location is the best way to capture and control air borne dust during these application.

Learning this the hard way  I learned early on that controlling remodeling dust and keeping it out of the non-remodeled portion of your clients home is often more important than the quality of your work.

Whether your trying to achieve a dust free work shop, trying perform a dust free sanding application, or attempting to use a dust containment system on the job site; high filtration multi-layer vacuum bags should be part of your plan.

What Makes These Bags Special?

High filtration multi-layer vacuum bags are designed with a double-layer to retain small dust particles.  These bags prevent leakage that can cause allergy-causing or health hazard particles to be blown into the air while vacuuming.   A self-seal dust flap prevents the escape of allergen during bag change outs.

I’ve been using high filtration multi-layer vacuum bags in conjunction with my DEWALT DWV012 HEPA vacuum for some time and feel its the BEST way to fully capture dust as well as extend the life of your HEPA filters.

Prolong The Life Of Your HEPA Filter

Using a HEPA vacuum like the DEWALT HEPA Vacuum DWV012 allows me to meet EPA Lead Related Renovations, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule for requirements HEPA vacuums. The DWV012 has continuous auto filter cleaning, which means that every 30 seconds one of the filters is back-flushed with air to remove dust to provide suction until the tank is full. The HEPA filters last approximately 6 months under normal applications and even longer when used with the high filtration multi-layer vacuum bags.
