Factory Painted Siding
Before installing your shingles or clapboards you may want to apply a finish to all surfaces or purchase factory finished siding. It’s easier than working off a ladder or staging and it can be done out of inclement weather, hot temperatures or at night – if indoors.

Properly finishing your siding [back-priming and end grain sealing] protects the wood from moisture absorption and UV degradation, helps prevent staining caused by mildew and extractive and will increase the service life of top coats.
