Home Products and Trends

In the remodeling business you get to see the current design trends and also get the opportunity to install new, interesting, energy saving and innovative products. Here are a few of my favorite:

1. The Kitchen:

No matter where you plan to entertain in your home, everyone always seems to migrate to the kitchen.

When remodeling or building plan on this in your design with interesting and useful island or peninsula seating.

2. Energy Efficient Doors And Windows:

Replacing your doors and windows with double or triple insulated glass can yield huge savings in energy bills. changing out your front door is also a fairly inexpensive way to give your home’s exterior an updated look without completely remodeling.

3. Storage Buildings And Sheds:

I’ve never had a customer complain about having too much space. Adding a custom or pre-built storage shed to your yard can afford you with that space you need.

4. Water Saving Toilets:

A leaking toilet or one that doesn’t flush properly means wasted water and higher water bills. Today’s toilets come with lower flush per gallon ratings and can save as much as $50 to $100 per year per fixture.

Many newer toilets also have two flush or dual flush options that help conserve water.

5. Patios And Outdoor Kitchens:

Today’s trend in home design is to install hard scapes like patios and also to move the kitchen outside. an “outdoor room” has become extremely popular.
6. Highly Efficient Furnaces

whether your installing a high efficiency furnace or on demand water heater there are so many cool and innovative options to choose from. A new, high-efficiency furnace can save you money in the long run, so if your furnace needs replacement, it pays to get a new, high-efficiency model.

High efficiency furnaces tend to cost less to operate on a month to month basis as they use less fuel to generate the same amount of heat.

7. Light Dimmers And Timers:

Installing dimmers on lights in your home not only gives you endless lighting options, but also saves energy and money.

Installing a timer switch for your bathroom fan makes sure that the fan continues to run after you leave the room. this is important to effectively remove the moist air. It also prevents your fan from being left on all day which means sucking all of the air conditioned air from your home.
