PVC Trim Moldings
1) Architectural detail and aesthetics
2) Energy efficiency
As for the third item I think choosing materials that will weather well is an important consideration in making a decision.
One of the most exciting choices right now is the availability of composite exterior trim moldings and boards by Advance Trim Works. These products will not rot, warp or check like comparable wood products. Unlike vinyl siding products ATW trim boards are manufactured from solid polyvinyl chloride (pvc) material so it maintains the architectural detail of each piece of molding and trim.
ATW now offers a complete window surround kit custom made for clad nail flange windows from separate window manufacturers. These surrounds are individually made
To fit each window size with an 1/8” tolerance.

The surrounds come complete with head and side casings and sill. A variety of casing sizes and trim moldings are available as well as custom made moldings to match historic profiles.
Other exterior products include rake and soffit boards, bead board, corner boards, columns and gutters.
This product is popular with contractors and carpenters because it cuts like wood and uses the same fastening techniques. Painters like the no prime, single coat coverage the smooth boards offer.
Consider an ATW exterior trim package to complete your historic renovation or custom new home construction.
