Channellock 8” 368 High-Leverage Lineme
I recently received a brand new Channellock 8 Inch 368 High-Leverage Linemen’s Plier to evaluate. I’m a huge fan of Channellock for two reasons; all of their tools are made in the U.S.A, and they do not make junk tools. All of their tools are professional grade with drop-forged, high-carbon C1080 steel.
Channellock just came out with a new Linemen Plier design that is ingenious. They re-designed their new 368 Linemen’s Plier to provide better leverage.
They did this by moving the tools rivet closer to the laser treated cutting edges. This new design gives the user better leverage and allows them to use less effort and force to cut through wire or even fish tape.
The 368 Linemen’s Pliers measures 8.38” in length and weighs less than a pound.
The pliers have a super comfortable grip and cutting “fish tape” was a cinch! See photo on the right. [Fish tape is thin, flat steel wire hat is coiled in predetermined lengths and is used to pull electrical wires in walls and ceilings. ]
I liked these pliers so much that I am going to keep them in my tool belt all the time. Not many tools get a permanent home in the tool belt.
