Accurate Layout Marks

Or worse you cut the wrong side of the line and now your board is too short.

A simple pencil mark can be confusing. Sometimes the line is slightly curved. Where do you cut?

Pencil Marking Tip:

Pencil marks should be crisp arrow points. The tip of the arrow is the exact mark.

To help remember which side of the arrow to cut I always put an “X” on the waste side of the arrow mark.
