BOSCH Carbide Hole Saw Set

BOSCH Quick Change Carbide Hole Saw Kit.

BOSCH has the solution for quick, clean holes.  Its a BOSCH Carbide Hole Saw Set, model # HTC5HPC.
.
I prefer a hole saw when installing larger pipes or bathroom and dryer vents.  My brother who is a plumber uses hole saws all the time.
.
In my opinion, the main advantage for using a hole saw is based on efficiency, the saw requires and uses less power by removing way less waste than a spade or auger bit.   Plus they come is big sizes, and in the case of a bath or dryer vent I use their 4-1/8″ hole saw bit.

.

The 8-Piece Quick Change Bosch Carbide Hole Saw Kit – HTC8PC includes:

  • (1) 1″ Quick Change™ Carbide Hole Saw
  • (1) 1-1/8″ Quick Change™ Carbide Hole Saw
  • (1) 1-3/8″ Quick Change™ Carbide Hole Saw
  • (1) 1-3/4″ Quick Change™ Carbide Hole Saw
  • (1) 2-1/4″ Quick Change™ Carbide Hole Saw
  • (1) 3/8″ Quick Change™ Mandrel
  • (2) 3-3/8″ x 1/4″ Pilot Drill Bits
  • Carrying Case
The BOSCH Carbide Hole Saw Set has a diamond ground carbide teeth that I found easily cut hard materials like hardwood, plywood, roofing shingles, cement board and light gauge metal.
.
I found that the drop shaped slots in the drill bit makes removing the wood plugs easy. Each carbide hole saw is equipped with a Quick Change™ adapter so it can be used with the Bosch Quick Change™ system.
.
BOSCH designed a Quick Change™ system allows for quick changes between hole saw sizes, as well as removing the pilot bit.
.
The BOSCH mandrel is brand universal and will work with any brand of tool or hole saw.

What impressed me the most about this kit was the Quick Change™ drill mandrel.   The spring loaded chuck is smooth and easy to pull back and easily inserts or removes the hole saw bit or pilot bit.  They just “click” in place.  Its really a smooth connection.

Quality, precision and a time saver for sure!
