Filling In The Field

Filling in blue stone pavers around the landing.

This photo above shows the copper flashing installed. The blue stone edging was an after thought. After the height of the patio was determined there was a 8″ gap showing under the screen porch. The curbing will hide this gap.

Reworking Adjacent Details

I have also begun altering the screen porch “panel trim.” I installed the lover horizontal board directly onto the blue stone edging. I used a PVC board for rot resistance.

Scribing to the steps make a better looking fit.

The goal is to have the patio side screen panels look like the photo below.

I filled all the nail holes, sanded and primed the panels.

Vertical cedar boards installed to make the panels.

Below is a picture after the clapboards and corner boards were brought down to the landing.

A natural gas hookup was installed where the grill will be stored and used.
