Black and Decker 20 Volt Cordless Vacuum

Black & Decker BDH2000SL Vacuum Review

The folks at Stanley Black and Decker recently released three Platinum series cordless vacuum units;  BDH2000FL, BDH2000SL, and BDH2000L.    I asked the Black and Decker 20 Volt Cordless Vacuum, model # BDH2000SL and they sent one out for a review.

I immediately went to work  cleaning up sawdust in the shop and dirt from my truck.

First Impression:

At first glance this Black and Decker 20 Volt Cordless Vacuum reminded me of the old dust buster that never held a charge but the comparison ended there.

The BDH2000SL Vacuum was light at 2.7 pounds and ergonomically well designed.   It uses lithium ion battery technology, similar to other cordless Li-ion tools, maintains a strong suction for the duration of the battery charge.   Black and Decker also promises that the battery will hold a charge up to 18 months.

The vacuum comes with a 20 volt battery and battery charger with charge indicator light, washable filter, crevice tool and brush.  The 20 volt charger digitally manage the charging process of the battery which eliminates that nagging battery charge memory effect.

Using the Black and Decker 20 Volt Cordless Vacuum

This Black & Decker BDH2000SL Vacuum really sucks . . .  As in suction!

The Black and Decker 20 Volt Cordless Vacuum has great suction and worked really well even on larger objects and paper wads.    the charge is still going several days later and I have been using it on everything and anything try to drain it.

This vacuum works great.  My only negative to this vacuum is that its loud. It emits a high pitch whine.

Overall Impression:

I’ve enjoyed reviewing the BDH2000SL Vacuum.  It’s lithium ion battery gives you the long run-time sometimes needed for cleaning out a whole car and allowing users to tackle big messes around the home, office or workshop.
