According to Remodeling Magazine Kitchen and bath remodels rank highest as the projects that generate the most revenue for companies with revenue under $250k. The following article is about benchmarking for small remodeling companies.
Highest Ranking Projects
The next highest-ranking projects are, in order, handyman, window and door replacement, and trim carpentry.
These three projects — none of which are included in the top five by any other revenue category — are characteristic of the smaller scope and size of jobs undertaken by these smaller remodeling companies.

- Kitchen remodeling 66.2%
- Handyman 47.7%
- Window/door replacement 38.5%
- Trim carpentry 29.2%
- Whole-house remodeling 26.2%
- Decks 21.5%
- Additions, other 20.0%
- Cabinets/built-ins 20.0%
- Additions, kitchen 16.9%
