Milwaukee® Shockwave Impact Duty™ Magnetic Nut Drivers are engineered for extreme durability and up to 10x life of conventional nut drivers. These nut drivers are made with a proprietary steel and heat treated to control hardness.
I immediately noticed two features that contractors and DIY-ers will like. The Shockwave™ Impact Duty Magnetic Nut Drivershave a powerful magnet in the driver that allows for a secure grip and holding power on the fastener. The other feature is an indexed shank that allows the bit to lock into impact drivers. Many cheaper competitive nut drivers have a smooth shank which are designed for a drill chuck and not an impact driver.
Color-coding on the ends of the shank also allow for easy identification. These drivers also have a chamfered edge to allow for fastening in tight spaces.
I tested these drivers on my washing machine and dryer. I needed to change clean out the washer filter and remove the dryer panels to clean out lint. The magnetic tip alone will save you time and aggravation! I appreciated not losing or dropping those tiny sheet metal screws.
