Milwaukee M12 Cordless Jigsaw

Milwaukee M12 Cordless Jig Saw

Milwaukee recently released their M12™ Cordless High Performance Jig Saw.

According to Milwaukee this saw features a new-to-world Hybrid Grip™ design. They claim that the M12™Jig Saw combines the best features from both top handle and barrel grip jig saw designs to provide superior cut control and balance.

The Milwaukee M12 Cordless Jigsaw weighs only 4.1 lbs and is 8.75” long. I had an opportunity to play with this saw at the Milwaukee tool event this year and was super impressed with it’s weight.

Cordless jigsaws are slowly winning favor on job sites for those quick cuts or tough for a cord to reach locations.

Milwaukee uses their M12 lithium-ion batteries to power this jigsaw. These batteries have proven themselves with outstanding durability and power.

I see PRO contractors in the finish trades as well as installers loving this jigsaw.

The Milwaukee M12 Cordless Jigsaw has a 3/4” stroke length and 0-2,800 SPM variable speed trigger. Blade changes are made with Milwaukee’s Quik-Lok™ T-Shank blade clamp and a tool free 45° bevel capability is always a plus on tools.

An LED light is also installed on the tool but I did not really think it was overly impressive. The light would come in useful when cutting inside a cabinet but it just did not seem that bright to matter.

Like many other tools these days the Milwaukee M12 Jig Saw comes with a carry bag and not a tool box. I really dislike the tool bags and wish they would give us the option.
