IRWIN Marples Chisels

IRWIN Marples Chisels – Three Chisels For Three Different Functions

IRWIN just released three new Marples bevel edge chisel lines that will focus on three major tool user groups including fine woodworking, construction and high-impact.

IRWIN Marples Chisels Woodworking Chisel

This chisel is lightweight and made for the finish carpenter or woodworker who demand precision. From paring to dovetail joints, you’ll find that the IRWIN Marples Chisel is one sweet tool to handle.

Made with a 100 CRV blade, hardened to 58-61 HRC for improved sharpness and edge retention this chisel is meant to be used with your palm or a wooden mallet.

The Woodworking chisels are made in the following sizes:

1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″, 3/4″, 1″, 1 1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2″ sizes and are sold in 3-piece, 4-piece and 6-piece wooden box sets.

The Woodworking Chisels retail for $8.99-$71.49

IRWIN Marples Chisels Construction Chisel

This chisel was designed as an all-purpose bevel edge chisel. It has a hardened and tempered blade to make job site tasks such as mortises, recesses and other tasks easy. This is the chisel you can hit with a hammer and has the quality to become a “go-to” chisel in my tool bag.

I always have a set of nice chisels in my tool trailer ready for any task, but I only store two chisels in my tool belt bag; “a beater chisel” and a sharp ¾” chisel. I’ve already decided that the IRWIN Marples Chisels will be those two.

This chisel has a really nice ProTouch™ grip, that is useful on the job site where weather or conditions or temperatures can make tools slippery or difficult to handle. An over sized steel strike cap is designed to be struck with a hammer because that’s how we use them on the job site!

The Construction chisels are made in the following sizes:

1/4″, 3/8”, 1/2″, 5/8”, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1 1/2″ and 2″ sizes, a 3-piece and 4-piece set.

The Construction Chisels retail for $9.99-$69.85.

IRWIN Marples Chisels High Impact Chisel

This chisel was created for the re-modeler to use with “brute force and ignorance.” Come on . . . I was just kidding that’s the term we use on the job when we need a sledge hammer.

Designed for the most rigors of a demanding job site the High-Impact Chisel features a fully-forged steel core and large strike cap longevity, durability and strength.

Out fitted with the ProTouch™ over-mold grip this is one comfortable chisel to handle. The High-Impact Chisel is constructed with a split proof acetate handle for reinforced handle toughness.

The High-Impact Chisels are available in the following sizes:

1/4″, 1/2″, 3/4″, 1″, 1-1/4″, 1-1/2″ and 2” short blade sizes, 3-piece and 5-piece sets.

The High Impact Chisels for $11.29-$79.99.
