Kobalt 129 Piece Mechanics Tool Set

Kobalt 129 piece 1/4″ & 3/8″ Drive Mechanics Tool Set #338515

A socket set includes a variety of tool or wrench type heads for fastening or removing different sized bolts.   As you know not all socket sets are the same.  I recently got a chance to use the Kobalt 129 piece set.

For those of you who are not familiar with Kobalt, they got their start in 1998 as a mechanics tool line. The brand has since extended to corded and cordless power tools and hand tools. The tools are sold exclusively at Lowe’s stores.

The biggest attraction to Kobalt is their price point.  They’re affordable, decent quality and priced perfectly for the do-it-yourself-er.

Having the right sizes of sockets is important and this 129 piece has a great selection to cover a wide variety of metric and SAE fastener sizes including;   shallow sockets, deep sockets, a screwdriver, misc. screwdriver attachments, nut driver attachments,   hex key sets and  a small assortment of common used wrench sizes .
