Here’s a super easy, super fast tip for hanging curtain rods dust free, that will save you time:

  1. Measure the window for the proper fit.
  2. You can attach most curtain rods directly to the wall which often results in dust getting all over the homes finished space.
  3. Drill holes through the plaster for toggle bolts or molly bolts where no studs or header framing is available. Size the holes according to the anchor manufacturer’s specifications, making them no larger than necessary.
  4. Hold or have someone hold a vacuum under the drill bit when installing your wall anchors.
  5. Collecting the dust at the source eliminates dust on the furniture or floor!
